"Wait, I don't graduate for another 4 months, isn't it a little too early to book my senior session?"
HECK NO!!! Read below to find out why exactly:
#1 - CROWDS
I've run into this all too often for my Spring graduates where popular campus locations will get very crowded the longer you wait to book. I'm talking a flood of people where you're having to wait in lines or asking if people can kindly move so they're not in the background of your shot. I get it though, you want to get THAT shot at the most iconic spot on campus and I support it! Just be prepared that waiting around can happen sometimes. A good alternative is to find unique or special to you locations on campus.
#2 - FLEXABILITY
Photographers are booked months in advanced especially when it comes Spring time. When you book early, you will have a better choice of dates for the exact time you want. Plus if you need to reschedule due to weather or unforeseen conflicts then there will be more options to pick from. Another thing to consider is the time your session will begin. Almost all of college senior session are an outdoor session and depending on the campus, lighting has a huge play in how your photos turn out. I always recommend beginning about 3 hours before sunset so we have the prettiest light. Keep this in mind when navigating classes and book early so you can have the best session!
#3 - LESS STRESS
Waiting until the month you of your graduation to book your senior session can cause you extra stress. Who wants that?! By booking early, you'll have more time to shop for that perfect outfit, maybe schedule your hair and nails if desired, or scope out inspirations on Pinterest that you want to share with me.
I want to make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy your last semester of undergrad or masters degree and being a senior!
